Thank you for your interest in the Durham Girls’ Choir. Below you will find
information pertaining to both the Junior Choir and the Senior Choir.
Membership registration is held twice per year, in July/August for the first semester
beginning in September and in November/December for the second semester,

As a non-for-profit we are committed to keeping the cost of membership to a minimum.
Below is an outline of costs for both Junior and Senior choirs.
Junior Choir
• Annual membership$250
• Concert tickets (4 tickets for each of our two concerts/year)$96

Senior Choir
• Annual membership$370
• Concert tickets (4 tickets for each of our two concerts/year)$96

NOTE: The DGC will allow all payments to be spread over a six month
period through post-dated cheques
*All families are required to participate in two mandatory fundraising events per year
i.e. a raffle prior to each concert. The $80 cost per raffle can be 100% offset
through the sale of tickets to family, friends and neighbours!
** participation in the tour growth fund the Senior choir travels abroad every
three years. This annual fee assists in offsetting the cost of travelling for both the
choir and the individual choristers.
*** Junior choristers will be required to purchase a white blouse approx cost $25.
Senior choristers will be required to purchase a DGC sweatshirt plus arrange to
have made a black formal dress cost to be determined based on fabric used
(note: there may be an opportunity to purchase a used dress from previous choristers).
